Question:  What is the difference between a User Name and Real Name?

Answer: In order to complete the Beecoz registration process, Beecoz requires every user to register for the service using their real name, and to also select a Beecoz User Name and URL for their My Post site.  The Beecoz URL of a registered use will include the zip code the person entered during the registration process as well as the User Name they chose. 

Any person who is registered with Beecoz can publish a message post, or add a comment depending on the comments rule set by the publisher, on the Community Message Boards.   Publishers of message posts and comments that appear in the Community Posts section must associate their Beecoz User Name or Real Name with their public message posts or comments.

The name that you see on the top left of a persons My Post site (i.e. 'reindeer in Raleigh, NC 27606' or 'Chris Cringle in Raleigh, NC 27606) is determined by your relationship to that person.  The Real Name of a person will appear on a My Post site if that person is in your network, a User Name will appear if that person is not in your network.

We want people to feel safe on Beecoz and to stand behind their message posts and comments.  Please review our Terms of Service.  Message posts or comments in violation can be removed without warning.  The accounts of any registered user in violation of the Terms of Service can also be suspended or deleted.
