Question:  How do I add people to my network (aka. your People Directory)?

Answer:  Any Beecoz Member Listings of people who aren't already in your network will have an 'Add as Neighbor' link or 'Expand Network' icon on their directory listing.  When you find a neighbor or friend that you want to add to your network, click on the 'Add as Neighbor' link or 'Expand Network' icon. You can send an 'Add as Neigbor' request to any Beecoz member who has their networking control settings set to accept networking requests.   If they accept your request they will be part of your network and you will be part of their network.     

If we have the directory listings data in our database of the residents in your community, the names of any neighbors who are not Beecoz members will appear on your home page in the 'Invite your neighbors & friends to join' module and be listed in the Beecoz People Directory with 'Tell a Friend' icon.   There are two ways to add non-members to your network.  If you have the email addresses of the people you want to add to your network you can click on the Email invitation link or 'Tell a Friend' icon and send a Beecoz email invitation to nonmembers to join Beecoz.  If you don't have a persons email address you can print out Beecoz flyer invitations that you can drop in a neighbor's mailbox.

An easy way to get started finding neighbors on Beecoz is to add your street address to your member profile.  After you add your street address the 'Expand your Neighbors & Friends network' module will appear on your home page and show the names of any people living in your neighborhood or community who are already members and listed in the Beecoz Neighborhood Directory.   If we have the directory listings data in our database for your community, the names of any neighbors who are not Beecoz members will also appear on your home page in the 'Invite your neighbors & friends to join' module.   These listings will appear in order of proximity to your address.  Click on the zip code, city and county links in this module to browse the newest Beecoz Member Listings as they are added to your neighborhood and community directory. 

You can also use the People Search to search for and find people.  If you click on the Search link on the main navigation bar you will be taken to a People Search function.  Enter the names of any neighbors or people you know who you think might be using Beecoz in the People Search box. By default we will search the county directory listings in the area where you live.  To search for people living outside of your county select the Search All of Beecoz option and add the person's city/state or zip code.
